First Connection and Firmware Update

Download Zahner Lab Software for Windows or Linux

Always download the latest version of Zahner Lab software from the Zahner website.

Install Zahner Lab Software

Run the installation program and follow the on-screen instructions.

Connect Cables

Connect the IEC power cord and the Ethernet cable to the IM7 device.

Network Connection

Connect the IM7 device to your local network or directly to your computer using the Ethernet cable.

Power On and Launch

Switch on the IM7 device and launch the Zahner Lab application.

Add IM7 Device to Zahner Lab

Open the Device Manager, search for your IM7 device, add it to your favorites list, and then open the device.

Download IM7 Firmware

After installing Zahner Lab, check for the latest firmware for your IM7 device and perform an update (this process takes approximately 3 minutes). The update is complete once the LEDs on the IM7 stop flashing and display a steady white and green light. Do not power off the device while the update is in progress.

Setup Complete

Your IM7 is now ready for use.

Note

All Zahner instruments require at least 30 minutes of warm-up time before you begin taking measurements. This warm-up period is essential for the instrument to reach optimal precision and stability.

After the warm-up period, we recommend performing a DC calibration to ensure measurement accuracy.
